Manleigh Cheese update

I just finished Herring and Toll’s story arc. I’m pretty pleased with it, because it leaves things open enough that I can bring them back later. I thought you might be interested in seeing a sketch of what I see when I write about Herring.

One of the things that has surprised me is that he’s become a more sympathetic villain as the manuscript has progressed. His “voice” changed, too. That is something I’ll have to go back and make consistent, once the manuscript is finished.

Sometimes characters stay still

long enough for me to sketch one of them. Most of the cast of “Blood-Soaked and Contagious” avoids me when I’m sketching, but this time one of them stuck around long enough. If you read the book, you’ll know who this is. If you haven’t read it… Well, Permuted is on the job, and the revised ebooks will be along shortly.
