The Pon have been “with me” since 2006, and I’ve written a few short sections of stories about them and their interaction with mankind. The basic premise I had in mind was similar to John Scalzi’s “Agent to the Stars”, where an alien species arrives on Earth an takes on a non-threatening form in order to interact with us. The question that I ended up asking myself was what it would be like if the aliens in question appeared to be morons.
How would we cope with a physically imposing, but apparently benevolent (if practical joke inclined), race of morons just appeared on Earth without fanfare?
